My daughter was a very sweet and understanding child, till now that she hit 16 yrs. She wants to go out to hang with her friends who are lesbians, she says she is not gay but I have read fb comments that are confusing and questionable. Her father was never in her life. He's made promises to her about being a father and till this day ( he lives less than a mile away from home)He doesn't bother with her, never kept his promises. I don't know if this has anything to do about her behavior, and also I admit that I am very possesive cause I'm afraid to loose her. She is very good at school. She gets mostly A's and a few b minus. I have an older daughter who is married with 2 girls of her own. She keeps checking her face book friends and lots of other things that drive me nuts. Is she jealous and trying to make us miserable by telling me about my daughter possibly being gay. My older daughter gave me a hard time also. In fact she ran away from home when she was 12 and moved in with her dads family when she was 13... etc. I don'ty know what to do. I am alone. My 16 yr old is still doing good in school, but I'm afraid this might not last long... HELP!

Are the friends nice?

Have you met them?

You could set rules about going out and meet the girls, have them over, get to know them, and offer to drop them home,that's what I used to do, dropping them home also gave me a chance to meet their parents.

Sit down and talk to your daughter, have an open and honest conversation about where she is going and who she is going to be with.

Facebook is a curse and people say a lot of crap there, don't believe half of what you hear from teenagers.

Is the friends being gay a problem for you?

I'm not exactly sure what you need help with... are you afraid your daughter may be a lesbian? Nobody can change that if that is the case.

As was already mentioned... do you have a problem with the friends other than that they are lesbians? From what you have said so far, this doesn't seem like a terribly out of control situation unless you have left things out. If the kids are bad, if she's staying out to all hours, defying you in other ways, I guess I could see a problem.

Maybe we need more detail but as it stands, simply from what you've written so far, I don't see anything terribly wrong here.

Are these mean and bad girls ? Do they steal, do they rob people??

While I may or may not personally approve of a life style, I would hope a 16 year old is not having sex in any manner, so if she was hanging out with boys would you still worry about her behavior.

In today's society the gay life style is thrown in everyone's face, public schools are required to teach that it is a great and acceptable way of life.

So she may be interested in it, often teens around 15 to 17 start to experiment with sexual feelings and desires. And she may find she enjoys dating girls, This does not make her a terrible person, it does not mean she will have bad grades, I bet gay or lesbians are on almost every dean lists of every school in America.

So beyond the fact that you hate lesbians and think they make low grades and have no values. What is your issue
