    What happens when my wife breaks the standing order
    I filed for a divorce in February and since then my wife has broken the standing order that was put in place to protect me and I just want to know what can happen to her. WQhat are the penalties for breaking the standing order?

    Only the judge who signed this into your divorce can punish her. He CAN order her to do some jail time if necessary. You didn't really say what sort of standing order was entered and what she did to break it. You need to contact your attorney and tell him of her breaking the order and he will file a motion for contempt of court and have a hearing and the judge will decide her fate.

    The judge may do nothing or they may do more.

    Have you filed a motion to have them brought before the court for breaking it.
