    My Trane XE80 UNIT is burning out my 24 volt Transformer.
    Is my contacts bad on my condensing unit?

    Your contactor in condenser could/might be the problem,, but tell us more, is it blowing the transformer as soon as you replace and turn unit on or does it take a while?
    You can put a inline fuse on the new transformer and a short will blow the fuse first before it fries the next transformer
    More info will help getting a answer for you
