    Is it still possible to be pregnant after a dnc procedure
    Recently I found out that I was over 6 weeks pregnant. I went in to see a doctor unfortunately they noticed that the baby was still in the tube saying that it would be a risky pregnancy.anyway my partner and I decided to perform a D&C which was recommende by my doctor. Now before I knew I was pregnant I rarely had any pregnancy systoms. But soon after my doctor done the procedure and gave me some antiboitics to take I began having systoms of a pregnant woman.I tried reaching my doctor but he seems to be so busy and hard to catch up with.What I did today was take a pregnancy test to see what will happen.And to my surprise it came out positive! Is that possible its been 3 days since the D&C can any tell me what went wrong please..

    Most likely the pregnancy hormone HCG has not decreased in your system enough to give a negative test result. Once you have the D&C the hormone does not leave your system immediately, it takes time.

    It could be that your hcg levels haven't gone down yet.

    You said the baby was in the tube? Ectopic?

    I really would go see your doctor about this. To me it sounds like your levels just haven't gone down, that's why you're testing positive. Also, it's only been 3 days, your body has just been through a lot and it's possible that the symptoms are part of the meds and the procedure.

    I've been there, had to have a D&C when I miscarried because the baby wouldn't come out on it's own.

    It's unlikely that you're pregnant 3 days after a D&C. Sorry.

    Your hCG levels haven't come down yet from the procedure.

    I'm sorry - I know how difficult this can be to go through. {{hugs}}

    Hi I'm having symptoms of a pregnant woman after I had my dnc surgery also but for me it has been 22 days since my surgery and its still going on and I stopped bleeding after less than two weeks. I keep looking it up and its possible to conceive with a dead fetus inside of you but I have no idea about after the dnc. When I had my dnc if I did conceive before the dnc it would have only been 5-6 days old... idk what the earliest age the fetus has to be for it to be termanted. If you find anything out please let me know as well. Thank you and good luck.
