Will I go into labor soon?
I am 35 weeks pregnant, and for the last 3 days have been having contractions. The hospital, over the phone, told me that I was having practice labor pains. But for how long would this be considered normal? I can barely close my legs due to my babies head bearing down on me. Its scary to think I might go into preterm labor.

I guarantee you that you will go into labor within the next 5 weeks.

What baby is this for you? Do you know how to time your contractions? Is it hot where you live? Are you drinking a lot of water? Are you chewing ice?

I hate to answer questions with questions. However, to help you better I need the answers to these questions.

This is my second. The doctors just told me to time them by the hour. 10 in an hour they want me to call them. And yes its hot, but I stay in a room will a/c constantly. I tried to check my own cervix for dialation, but I can't feel anything other than wetness. :/

Please don't try to check your own cervix, you won't be able to do it accurately and you could cause damage if not done correctly.

I'm an RN in labor and delivery... I check cervixes for a living and sometimes it's hard for ME to find a cervix. If I have a hard time, it will be impossible for you.
