Is a credit card on open ended account?
I am being sued in the state of Nebraska for an old credit card debt. The last payment made on this account was over 4 years ago, but less than 5. From what I could find, the statute of limitations in NE is 4 years for open ended accounts and 5 for written contracts.

    I have 2 questions:
    1. In Nebraska is credit card debt considered open ended or a written contract?
    2. Does the date for the start of the statute of limitations begin on the last payment made

Thanks so much for any help.

    1. It's a written contract. When you got the card, you signed your name to a contract and agreed to abide by their terms.
    2. Yes.
