    Ceiling fan and light wiring
    I need to wire light dimmer to fan light power, and separate switch to fan power

    OK, you will need a 3 wire cable from the switch location to the ceiling box.

    If you can't pull a 3 conductor wire to the fan, consider converting to a remote, if you fan can be converted. If it can, the remote has a dimmer in the light circuit
