Need help rewiring thermostat.
I am replacing an older Trane thermostat with a new Honeywell unit. I cannot get the wiring colors right as they were not marked when the old one was removed.
Can I get help on this issue; what color wire is the power wire? The colors are r-w-y-g-o-b-brn-b-gray on the new thermostat, the letters are rh-rc-w-y-g. Thank you |

I want to move my existing thermostat just a few feet away from where it is now. My question regards the new thermostat wire. Is it okay to splice the new wire and the old wire, if it is okay, any suggestion on method of splicing?
