Can there be a W-2 with no social security or medicare wages and taxes?
W-2 with only wages and federal & state income tax withheld. There are no SS or medicare wages/taxes withheld. Is this possible

Not possible as you need this information to file your income tax.

It may be possible if you are exempt from SS and medicaire taxes. For example a non-resident alien like a foreign student who works on campus may be exempt from SS and medicaire taxes. Or if you make less than $1500 your employer does not have to withhold or pay SS or medicaire taxes.

If you could supply more detail we could tell you for your case whether it's correct or not.
