Is saying talaaq in anger on 3 occasions valid in islam?
Dear dr naik , assalam o alaikum , I am questioning the divorce procedure in islam I am a sunni muslim and I have a wife and 4 children , me and my wife are married for 12 yrs and I love my family very much I have elderly parents living with me as I am the only son they have... due to quarrells between me and my wife recently I have said talaaq 3 times in one go on one occasion but previous a few months ago I said talaaq due to a quarrell again , as my temper led me astray and I said such things in pure anger with no intention to divorce my wife, her family believed that by saying talaaq 3 times in one go is an instant talaaq, but I questioned it and read up on this also heard your lectures on divorce which mentioned if divorce said or given in anger or under any influence or without intention it would be invalid, my wife said she can recall once before going back a few yrs where I said it once before but I cannot recall this or remember saying it which totals to me saying talaaq 3 times on separate occasions all within anger with no intention to divorce my wife. Would this talaaq be valid in islam? I am very worried in life as I have asked a lot of the muftis and alims locally in manchester who mostly claim that I am divorced and my wife must do halaala if I wish to take her back? I am very lost seeking for the right advice I really love my wife children and parents my whole family will be ruined but in order to keep peace on the worldly life I do not wish to ruin my akhirah for this world , during arguments I was also never aware of the consequenses of saying talaaq.. please can you guide me as I can't rest as many people say different things and I am confused lost and very worried please can you tell me if my wife is still lawfull to me or is the divorce valid in the eyes of allah ? I said such words in complete anger with no intention to divorce and not being aware of consequenses of saying talaaq, I am very fearful of allah but I believe he knows our hearts and intentions, is there anyway I can be with my wife without halaala and do tauba from allah? Please can you help me as soon as possible.if you need to respond personally my e mail address is{REMOVED}. Thank you.
