    2003 Honda Civic EX
My honda started heating up on my way back from work yesterday. Thought it might be my thermostat, but it turns out the antifreeze is leaking into the transmission. Has anyone heard of this happening? What am I looking at in repairs? The honda has 64000 mi. (I purchased it new) on it, I really thought I would have less mechanical problems from a honda, guess I was wrong, it may be the last honda I purchase. Thanks in advance for any answers you might have to my question.

Are you sure it is leaking into the transmission because I don't see why the antifreeze would even go through it. Is it automatic or manual? Could be leaking down the side of it also

Automatic, and yes, there is antifreeze on the transmission dip stick when I pull it out.

I'm curious if there is anti freeze that runs through the transmission to help keep it cool, like transmission cooler lines. You have to check a manual for something like that I believe

My 2003 Honda Civic makes a spinning noise when it starts. It sounds like it is coming from the front left. Eventually it goes away as I drive. If I put the breaks on, the noise goes away but resumes as soon as the breaks are let off. It is more likely to happen if I start the car and back out...
