Need replacement remote for Hampton Bay ceiling fan

I am trying to find a replacement remote for my hampton bay fan. It is a dual light and has a reverse button as well. Currently it just turns itself on. I tried changing the battery, but it is still turning on randomly. I have found a few but none have all the functions of my current remote.
How do I repIace lightbulb for a Hampton Bay 54-Inch Windward II 55296 ceiling fan?

The fan has a dome cover. There are three "tiers" - the lower dome, center fan blades, and top casing. When I try to turn the lower dome to remove it, the lower and top casing rotate and the dome does not drop out (as an earlier answer suggested it might). Is there something I am missing?

My fan was working fine last winter. When I returned from the South, the remote would not cause the fan or light to operate. I replaced the batteries in the remote to no avail. My guess would be either the receiver or the transmitter has failed. But I don't know how to check it. Any ideas?

I'm having an electrician install this fan in my living room with a sloped ceiling (slopes from 1st floor to second - 45 degrees?).
