    Kidney Pain and dark urine
    Hey guys,
My boyfriend has been having very bad kidney pains, and he told me his urine is dark, he won't go to the doctor - he's also not a heavy drinker, in fact neither or us do drink, he did used to starve himself. . would that do it?

Sounds like it could be a bladder infection. The darkness in his urine could be blood... Either way, no matter what it is, he NEEDS to go see a doctor. This is not going to cure itself and will only get worse.

I agree with odinn. It's time to see the doctor.

We can't give him a diagnosis online. No one can, not even the best doctor.

If this is a bladder infection it won't get better without a doctor care. A bladder infection that's left untreated can actually become fatal. This isn't something to ignore and hope it will go away.

When he is saying kidney pains -- has he had kidney infections previously? Dark urine and pain can be a lot of things and like the other posters mentioned-- he can't get diagnosed over the internet -- I can tell you though that kidney infections can be very serious and he should get in to see someone. If he is hesitating because of lack of insurance get online and start looking up community health clinics -- there are resources its just important to seek them out. Good luck and I hope he feels better soon.
