Hi,

So here is my issue.. I am in an extremely happy relationship for over a year now. I can honestly say I love my boyfriend with all my heart, he is the best guy I've ever been with..

My only problem is that I keep dreaming about this one particular ex.. and this happens quite often always different scenarios but the common theme especially lately is us seeing each other again and it's always accompanied by quite strong feelings.. I haven't seen or spoken to him for over a year.. He hurt me so badly and I would never even consider speaking to him/ seeing him now.

But then why the dreams? I don't think about him very often either.. How can I stop these dreams?? I feel like I've resolved everything that I needed to about this but yet can't stop the dreams and always feel so guilty afterwards as though I'm cheating :(

To my knowledge there isent a magic pill you can take that allows you to alter your dreams.

Are you certain you resolved everything about your EX?

Do you have things that could remind yourself of your EX, photos, phone nummer, Facebook anything really?
If yes get rid of it. That way in time you might find yourself getting less and less reminded of him.

That might help in regards to your dreams as well, however I'm purely guessing since I have no experience or knowledge in this department.

No I don't have anything reminding me of him I've deleted his number, his Facebook, photos everything.. I even changed my number so he couldn't get in touch with me I have gone through great lengths to avoid him lol and have been successful haven't seen him in over a year.. All I have now is the memory and the stupid dreams! Ahhh! I just want him completely gone from my system and it feels like the dreams mean he's still there.. Getting over him was the hardest thing I've ever had to do and now that I am it's annoying that I still sometimes dream about him. I guess it's something I might have to accept and hopefully with time it'll just stop..

Might just best a phase your going through, and yes it will stop - no one dreams the same stuff over and over again.

Also, don't get so worked up about it, it's a dream no more no less. The more you obsess about it the longer you will have it I'm sure.

DO NOT feel guilty by the way, your are not in control over your subconscious, just give it awhile - don't think about it and it will blow over.
