    Question about verbal contract
I found out when I went to cancel a service with a TV/phone/internet company that I was placed on a contract. I was completely unaware I was in a contract with them. Apparently, when I changed services with them, they placed me under contract without informing (although I was told they supposedly tell all of their clientele this information). I would not have continued with them had I known this because I was before the time of this supposed contract would be complete. I have talked to the supervisors of the company and they say I am liable for this cost. Is this true?

Maybe, you may deny any contract, you need to write them and send two copies one regular mail , one certified, denying any contract and stating you have ended your service.

When they start sending it to collections, again, always respond within the 30 days in writing, denying you owe anything, and telling them not to contact you again ( if collections) ** or telling them that they are required to provide you a copy of this contract or not to contact you again.

If they sue you, then you go to court and fight it.

Depends on how much you want to fight and how much trouble it is worth.

    Hello b:

A VERBAL contract with this service is NOT enforceable. Not, only would I do what the Padre suggests, I'd threaten THEM with a lawsuit if your credit rating is damaged by their unlawful attempts to collect.

IF you contracted with them, you either SIGNED a contract, or you were RECORDED agreeing to the terms. Absent those, you have NO obligation towards them.
