See I have a cousin. When she was in 12th, a guy proposed to her, at that she liked the boy too, so she said yes. This relation continued for 5 years, but in first 4 years the girl was not that into him, but that guy loved her madly.

Seeing his love she began to love him too, ab halat ye hai, they can't live without each other, but they don't go for dates or talk for hours on the phone, half an hour zyada se zyada.

Now they both understand that it is wrong. The guy thinks that they can't return to the path of Allah until they leave each other, but that guy can't do it. He can't just leave her like that. What she wants to know is there a way in which they can balance the two?
