It's been 4 months since my boyfriend and I have been broken up. We we're together for a long time until he decided it was best to end it. I wasn't expecting it but it happened, and I've tried so hard to forget him. We've had the talk to "clear the air" but I'm still hurt by it all. He quickly started dating someone else which of course hurt me even more but it helped me know there's no turning back. He was taken and it was time for me to move on too. The other day he texted me out of the blue letting me know he and the girl broke up because it was a mistake and that he's grown closer to God. He made it sound like he had finally gotten his life in order but I feel the opposite. I let him know I was proud of him and he was glad that I had said it. The conversation ended there but I can't help but to want to talk to him more. I want to know why he told me all of that. I feel like I can't get over him because I am in hopes that he would want to get back together. What should I do?

He ended the relationship and started dating another girl. He showed no care for you in the actions that he took. But then again why should he, your not together anymore.

You hope you can get back together, but I'm not so sure you can - he left you once before and if you engage with him in anything he will be using you because your hurt your scared and all you want to do is be with him again. And I don't blame you it's natural to have those feelings.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel, if you cut all contact with him and start living your own life you will realize as soon as your healed that your glad that you stuck with no contact

Why would you take the chance that he'd dump you again? He broke up with her and is calling you. He has shown you what kind of person he is. Be rid of him and move on.
