    I am on probation can I fight for my kids?
    I am on probation for tampering with evidence, and battery on a household member. I want my kids back but my dad and his wife don't want to give them back... Can I get them back if I hire an attorney?

    You can try. But considering your situation what have you done to get them back other then a want to take it to the courts? Have you taken parenting classes or anger management classes? If not you might consider those as part of the stratagies to getting your children back in your life.

    So the court took your kids away, your dad got legal custody though the courts ?

    Do your parents have legal guardianship or custody? Since violence was part of your situation, the court may require that you go through some classes to regain custody.

    We really need to know more about the situation.

    Ok so I gave them temporary kinship guardianship just in case anything happened the state wouldn't pick them up... Well they promised they would give them back to me and that it wasn't about the money or anything well lol it was all for the money they are greedy... I buy all there clothes and shoes, and extras... they still collect a child support check, welfare, and want me to pay child support... when that wasn't at all how it was to go down. I just feel lied to in all sorts of ways. Then they call me from their attorney's office asking me questions... I didn't answer any... but what kind of scandal is this? Really? Because she didn't have anymore kids? The lady make 6 figures and my dad another 5... They said just till I got on my feet. Well I have my own place... cars, money, job, school, some anger management... The whole thing is just a big mess and I'm soooo sick over it. I swear I am not a bad person.. My baby Clari tells me that she is trying to come home but nobody will let her. To top it off I have my little little one so she is sad she can't be here too. My son is old enough to understand but still is starting to be mean to my dad's wife. She did the same thing to my mom and I can see why she gave up because this woman makes it like impossible for me to think that I have any kind of chance.

    Do you have a copy of the agreement you signed? You need to bring that to an attorney to review. The agreement may specify that it is revocable. In which case you can get a court order forcing the, to release the children.
