He has been though so much his father passed away when he was 4 years old fron cancer and 3 years later he wach someone kill his bother and now they want to put him away he needs help with dealing with all of this not lock away some were what can I do to help him

Did your child commit a crime that's resulting in his going to juvenile detention or otherwise misbehaving? It would help to understand what he's doing and who "they" are and where "they" plan to lock him away.

If your child is involved in the juvenile justice system, the judge can actually be a good ally for you. Have your child's attorney ask for counseling to be provided and make sure it is understood that your child has been through unspeakable experiences and is suffering and needs counseling and support. Your child may be suffering post traumatic stress disorder from seeing his brother killed, and may also have depression or other issues from the loss of his father, and medication and therapy could be very critical to his recovery. If your child is not already represented by counsel, make sure that he is appointed a Guardian Ad Litem to represent his interests before he is committed or jailed.

If he is not in such a situation as being in trouble for behaviors, work with his school. Ask to speak to the person in charge of counseling, and his principal and set up a meeting with them to talk about what resources they can refer you to or make available to you to obtain counseling for your son. They may have a therapist on staff, or know of outside resources for such help.

If you are on public assistance, or medicaid for your child's health care you can also obtain psychiatric and psychological services in most cases. Contact your local hospital and ask for referals, or your health agency such as your local county.

And if you belong to a church, or even if you don't but there is a strong church in your area, go to them and ask for help as well. Established churches are often tied in with a variety of social services. The Catholics and Lutheran's, I am particularly aware, have many services available and will make them available even if you are neither of their religions.
