My life is like a punsihment for living.
My mum is really depressed, she's always in her room and moaning. When I was 8 me my mum and brother use to be the happiest family in our area, in the other families daughters, and mum's. Would fight, child abuse and all that craziness going on.
When I grew up, we weren't that happy anymore, we moved out of the area, mum found a guy, and mum would always keep you depressed.
I use to be in top class for everything, with a smart fresh opened mind, but when I grew up, I got really, really depressed, all because of my mum, and my depression is ruining my life. You guys might think I'm joking, but in math I forgot what 1+1 was!! My aim was to be a doctor, and my mum use to help me achieve that, but now I have too much on my mind for a 10 year old, and I cannot focus anymore.
Me and my brother are not a part of her life anymore, she met someone else but that's nothing, what really bothers me is that she makes everyone around her depressed. She never smiles, and in the morning, when it's nice, and shining, she comes downstairs, and gives a moody look. She moans over little reason, and she keeps saying "quick get out, go school, get out!!!, get out!! hurry up, and get ready and go school!!!".
Also she's not the same mum, now everybody is making fun of me, because I am so stupid, and so slow, because I can't focus. My mind feels like it's going to explode. In school I am known as "the dumb kid". I swear now I am even forgetting words, I can hardly speak anymore, cause I can't remember words, seriously! No joke!
Please help, I really want things to get better, and I can't cope with my memory getting weaker everyday.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO!

Go to the doctor and get a check up. You need to be tested for adhd. Then let us know what you have found out.

Depression is a serious medical condition that should never go unchecked. Try talking to your mom about how you feel. If she won't listen, try and get someone involved. I know your young, so it makes things a little bit more difficult, but try and find an adult that you trust to talk to and maybe they can help get your family back to the way you want it to be. But you should also go to the doctors for an evaluation, because not being able to concentrate, and memory loss can all be signs of many serious and critical conditions. I would get it checked out if I were you.

You need to acknowledge that you need help. Things may be hard, but you are not expected to carry all the baggage alone. If you can't turn to your mom, get help from someone whom you trust and feels comfortable with. Do not ever blame yourself, it will only make things worst for you. Instead, know that you have the right to be OK. Im sure when you reach out, there would be people who would be more than willing to extend their helping hands. If I could see you in person, I would hug you and tell you that it may seem impossible now, but everything would turn out just fine. In God's time. Please be strong, and know that you are not stupid, you are just going through a rough patch in your life. But every storm would end, so be excited for the day that you would see yourself smiling, knowing that you have surpassed your mountains. As of now, learn to seek help. Obviously you need it. The previous answers are right. Seek professional advice or assistance regarding your seemingly uncontrollable and overwhelming feelings of depression. God bless you dear.

Maye the school nurse, or teacher can help you. Talk to them, and your mom.
