    Picture size
    How do I get the picture to fit the size of the actual screen... it is like a 32" picture inside a 37" television?

    Check the source and make sure the correct ratio is being sent to the TV and also that it is set to display it.

    What TV do you have? What is connected to it and what type of connection is being used?

    Chances are there is a Zoom, Aspect, P. Size, Wide, etc button that you must press on either your TV, cable box, or DVD player remote to adjust the shape of the picture. Keep in mind, there's a possibility that what you are watching is not widescreen even though you have a widescreen TV, and the bars on the sides are technically supposed to be there. In most cases you either have to stretch the picture or crop the top and bottom off in order to fit the broadcast to your screen size.
