H E L P!! 91 CIVIC WILL TURN OVER but will not start, installed a new distrib.fuel pressure regulater.main relay.new fuel injectors,new fuel filter.I get a code #16 .the book says fuel injectors but I replaced them both. Don't know what to do but replace ECU?? ALL help is useful. So if you can think of anything no matter how crazy I am ALL ears thanks, mike

First, try resetting the ECM, by pulling the under hood 7.5A Back-up Fuse, or disconnecting the negative battery cable, for 10 seconds. Second, go over the wiring to the fuel injector circuit. Third, test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter. Fourth, ensure the CEL comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II). Fifth, try substituting a known-good ECM, with the same Honda part number.

FOUND THE PROBLEM thank the lord, It was the ignition control modual in the brand new $266.00 distrib. Got a feeling it was the distrib I put my old ignition control modual and boom it started right up. Thanks for all the good info TxGreaseMonkey I'll have to remember that if I have another problem.

Good job. Many people are skeptical when I tell them over 50% of new aftermarket distributors for Hondas don't work at AMHD. Once again, you proved my empirical observation. It's best to use a genuine Honda distributor housing and install a name brand ICM and coil, to keep the cost down.
