Was In H1 and back to India
    HI,

I was in my h1 from feb mid 2006 to aug end 2006. I went back to India. I was in th e Washington state ( No state Tax). I was here with my wife as well as my son for the whole period which I was @ usa. To file tax what has to be done.
    1. Should I apply for ITIN for my wife and son. If so is it OK if I just attach the w7 form while I file my federal tax. Is just the photocopy of my wife's and son passport / visa enough or should I get notorized signiture. Whether I should mention the USA address or Indian address.

    Thanks

I believe I already answered this question via email.

File a dual-status return and claim your wife and child as dependents. You will need to submit W-7 with notarized photocopy of passport for ITINS for wife and child.
