SHFOLDER.DLL preventing .exe files from opening
I'm having a problem with the shfolder.dll file on windows xp service pack 2 media center 2005. Whenever I open executable files mainly setup.exe files, I almost always get an error message saying unable to open shfolder.dll or access denied to that file or something along those lines depending on what program I try to open. I have ran every free adware/malware/virus scan product I could find as well as every registry fixer and still can't find what's wrong. Tried downloading the file and copying it to the folder but xp says file already exists and won't overwrite. Is there anything else I can do before I start over from scratch?
