Me and my ex were together for about 20 months. We had hard times but got through them. We had really good times and lots of fun together. But then I find out that he has been flirting with random girls online and I told him to stop and delete it. He did get rid of it but said he did it because he was bored of me and that I was too comfortable. He said that now that he's more experienced, he can't commit to one girl anymore. I don't understand why he feels like this. He gave me a promise ring and said that we could get married after high school. I don't know what made him start acting like this, this isn't who he really is. He's the most sweetest guy I have ever met, not some playboy he says he is. I'm doing the whole no contact thing, its been 5 days since he left. My mom and friends are really positive that he will ask to come back soon. My mom said that he's just acting stuck up because I'm too nice and care too much about him. I'm feeling really lonely, but I'm trying to hang out with friends. I'm doing my best, but I miss him so much and I want him back. Please tell me what you think. Thanks

You can't ask yourself "what if he comes back?".

You're in No Contact now, and that's great. Start to heal and follow through on the healing. I understand why your family and friends are trying to comfort you, but they don't know that he'll come back any more than you do.

If you ever get back together with him in the future, it won't be the same relationship. You will have to build something new and work out the kinks that caused this break up in the first place. So heal now from this relationship and treat it as completely over. Move forward with your life.. that's what he's doing.

I feel for you girl. Keep up with the NC, it will get better. Make sure to hang with your friends and family as much as possible, cry when you need to, and keep living your life. He sounds like he has some growing up to do and that's OK. You are both young. I'm about to hit week 3 of my break up and I finally feel like the sun is shining again. NC is hard, but don't break it. Be strong and if its meant to be, it will all work out. If not, there is something better for you headed your way.
