Which Heat Pump should I get??
Bryant Preffered, two stage, 16 Seer $4,995 (installed)
Bryant Legacy, single stage, 15 Seer $4,625 (installed)

I live in FL and don't know if it's worth getting the Preffered unit that has a higher Seer rating and a two stage compressor for $370 price difference. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Anytime you can save on the utility bills is good, ask questions, how long (years will it take ) to revamp the extra 370 bucks you are spending?, why just a Bryant are there no other brands to compare.I may be off base but where I come from both these prices sounds very high, for a heat pump. I should ask exactly what are you buying for that money?

Bryant is the only brand my tech works with, who is very professional and trustworthy in regards to his work. I was also quoted $600 less with a better unit but the guy that does it works on the side since his company only sells industrial units. That quote also does not include replacing the copper and thermo stat wire. If I understand correctly a unit needs to be properly installed to receive the most from it. I truly trust me tech's work and feel that the 600 bucks I am saving would hunt me down the line. These prices also includes the air handler and the price is reasonable for this are from other quotes I received. Please advice if I am heading the right direction on my purchase. Thank you.

OK,, I have nothing against Bryant, was just wondering if you had explored other options, trusting the installer and knowing he will do you a good job is very important, after you telling us what the price covered the copper lineset and a new airhandler , sounds like a much better deal. So good luck with whichever unit you decide on.
