Long Distance Relationship for the summer
Hi there. My boyfriend and I have been dating officially for 7 months, and have known each other for about a year. He broke up with me once before I left for the summer for 2 days, but then called me and wanted to work things out. We didn't have a reason for breaking up. We never fought, and we have had only minor disagreements that we always talked through. We are both the type of people that like to work through things by discussing rather than fighting.

I have 48 days left of my internship, and then I will be back home. We have seen each other 4 times for a weekend. He gives me a morning text every morning, and I send him an email a day, which depending on his work he usually sends one back. We also talk for a little bit every night, and sometimes during the day. He doesn't have cell service at work, so its harder to communicate during the day.

Anyway, things are OK with us, but I feel like he is drifting away from me, and he is starting acting distant. He told me nothing is wrong with us, and that he is just stressed with work. I understand that he is stressed, but why won't he talk about it with me? I am here to offer advice and be there for him, but he just keeps acting distant. I didn't want to nag him, so I gently asked that if he has second doubts with us, that he needs to be up front and honest with me, and he said he isn't having second thoughts at all, and for me to stop worrying.

Now I feel like this anxiety to hear from him all the time, but I want to learn how to give him space to make him realize what he has. But I feel like if I give him space that he will drift farther away due to our temporary long distance relaionship. I will not bring it up again to him, because frankly I am even getting sick of myself asking him daily if he is still in this 100%. Any suggestions to make him realize that I am here for him, but also make him realize that he isn't doing a very job of showing his care and affection like he used to.

How to give him the space, yet have him know I am still here. I am going to his families vacation next weekend, so I also said that this is a big step, so if he is not in it to tell me before I meet everyone in his family, and he understood that as well.. I am just confused, and lonely I guess.

I think you are letting your fears get the best of you and you are driving yourself crazy. Relax its only 48 more days, and the distance is over, right?Focus on what's in front of you, and don't transfer your fears, and anxieties to the relationship.

He may be stressed by work, AND hoping his family takes to you. Don't add to that.

My b/f works out on the road for 4 weeks at a time and comes home for 1 week. My question is what ideas do you have to keep it spicy and hot while he's gone and when he comes home. We phone each other every night and text through the day but I don't want to be boring during these times. We are both...
