    US Tax benefit on dependent
I am working in US since Feb 2011 on L1B. My wife joined me as a dependent on L2B. She does not work here.

She does not have a SSN.

Can I get tax benefit on having dependent(spouse) with me during this time? What do I need to do for this?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You can file joint return as residents. Both must declare the worldwide income for the year.
