    What causes electrical things to turn on and off by its self?
    For many years now I have experience many electrical things in my home to come on and off by theirself. At first when it happen it scared me, but now it happens so often it doesn't bother me. I will admit it's strange and I can't figure out why. The first thing to turn it's self on was when I lived in apartment was my TV in my bedroom. I'd turn it on and it would turn off by it's self. That happened a lot. Then in the same apartment my microwave would come on by it's self. I was beginning to think I was going crazy till it happened when a friend came over and witnessed it herself. I moved to another apartment and the same thing happened to those two items. Out the door they went. I was afraid the microwave would cause a fire when I wasn't home. Bought a new one and it does it too and it's happening in my new place which is a house. One evening I was sitting on the couch watching TV and all of a sudden the stereo came on full blast. I about jumped out of my pants or almost wet them. Then it happened a few more times , so I unplug it. That stopped it. Then one night I was sound asleep and around 2:00 in the morning my clock radio came on full blast. That scared me, it woke me up from a dead sleep. I immediately unplugged it. Now I just got a new dvd play which keeps coming on. In the past two days I have cut it off around ten times. I had to unplug it. Now if this was only happening in one place I'd say maybe the wiring. This has happened at the last three places I have lived. What could this be? Does some people has so much static electricity in there bodies it would cause it? Is it spirits trying to communicate? I don't know , but it's aggravating sometimes and I must admit it does bother me sometimes. It's just so strange.

    Ghost did come to mind, some do like playing jokes I am told.

    I heard a myth some years ago about some people having a energy charge around them that did effect electronics, never proven from what I understand.

    But then is there power issues in your area of NC ?
