Yes the wombats are big around here
BBC News - 'Giant wombat' skeleton found in Australia's Queensland
So a large wombat has been found. I imagine something a little bigger than a hippo, wouldn't that rearrange your front suspension like his smaller cousins do, and my question is this; this is international news, why? Since we have been accused of wiping out the aboriginals, we will next be accused of wiping these out too, but did we? I expect this creature was a victim of climate change and we should urgently devote our attention to finding out whether CO2 was the culprit

More likely it was the product of a green house environment where the vegetation it needed was plentiful .

Interesting theory wombats are once again destined to grow as big as houses, so climate change is our friend, nothing to fear here. But what of the humble cane toad, will they grow big enough to devour the wombats? With cane toads already in plague proportions, blame it on climate change, we must act fast or all will be lost and what of the humble crocodile will they too be lost to the cane toad and climate change after 250 million years. Horrors, think of the loss.

And what would you have us do with them turn them loose with the camels? You see you can't have it both ways, we took a stand against indonesian abattoir practices and this is the result too many cattle about 500,000 apparently and they are the wrong type for our market. Anyway the ban is off, real storm in a tea cup stuff to divert the masses from the issue of a carbon tax but the indonesians now say they don't need the cattle anyway. We shouldn't have been making live exports anyway the practice has its problems and has been on the nose for years

This is really little red fox politics just like announcing the carbon tax on a Sunday after parliament has risen for a break. The response to a problem is panic followed by b/s followed by more panic followed by more b/s and by the way those issues are getting old now.

I don't know about giant wombats or camel farts, but supposedly California being cooler and wetter is yet further evidence of global warming.
Fair weather fans who believe global warming will bathe San Francisco's Sunset District in sun or one day prompt residents of Daly City to don bikinis may be in for a rude awakening.
California's coastal regions appear to be getting more rain and cold weather while inland areas such as Fresno are getting hotter, according to an analysis of 40 years of climate statistics.
The analysis, by meteorologist Jan Null, showed that average temperatures have increased since 1981 in only two of eight California cities surveyed compared with the 30 years starting in 1971. The information, compiled using National Climatic Data Center statistics, shows more annual rain has also fallen everywhere except in Southern California.
The data may appear to bolster the arguments of global warming skeptics, but Null said the findings actually fit in with the predictions of scientists who believe the climate is changing as a result of human-caused carbon emissions.
"People say, 'Wait a minute, what about global warming? Shouldn't it be warmer?' " Null said. "Well, if you have more warm days in the Central Valley, you are going to have a stronger sea breeze so you will cool off the coastal areas. That certainly does not contradict any of the models about global warming. This is what is to be expected."
Everything is proof of global warming.

Yes it has come to that, when the wind blows it is global warming, when it rains it is global warming, when the ice thaws it is global warming. I am unconcerned because I know what is causing it and it isn't my air conditioner which I can probably no longer afford and in any case since the effect of global warming has been cooler wetter summers I haven't needed it lately. What I have noted is there haven't been as many hurricanes in the northern hemisphere; is that global warming too? I know, Chilean volcanoes are caused by global warming, well it makes sense, volcanoes are hot, and well, which came first, emissions from volcanoes or the Earth heating up? So many questions, so little time.
I wonder does global warming slow down time. I was in a place in the last few days where time really went more slowly.

Of course it is, but after Katrina we were supposed to have record numbers of hurricanes due to global warming. They missed that one, we're actually having record low levels of hurricanes. Now the guess is fewer hurricanes but stronger - due to climate change.

Ah Climate Change but you are out of date the threat level has been elevated to Climate Crisis and soon they will be speaking of Climate Catastrophy, all it will take is one Pacific Island to be inundated. No matter another volcano has gone off to save the day
