Have you charted when you ovulate?

The average couple can take 1-2 years to conceive even when they are actively trying and charting ovulation etc.

If you're concerned, see your doctor.

The thing that strikes me about your post is this "we tried different times of the month", which means that you obviously have no idea when you ovulate.

Definitely see your doctor and find out if there's anything he/she can do to regulate your periods, or explain why you haven't conceived.

I wouldn't be too worried yet, it's only been 1 year, but if you're concerned then that stress alone can be part of the problem.

Put your mind at ease. See your doctor.

    Good luck. :)

You are more likely to conceive when relaxed and not worrying about the conception itself. Just focus on enjoying your fiancé.

I agree with Altenweg, if you are very concerned, see a doctor.

Also, even at the dollar store there are ovulation tests which you can take to check and chart when you ovulate.

If your cervical mucus is "stringy" or stretches, it is a sign of ovulation.

Remember too, that it's not always the woman who is infertile. Men can be infertile too, thus the woman will not get pregnant.

Since this is posted in Child and Teen Health, I am wondering how old you and your fiancé are.

Good point J, and I missed that the forum this was in, just assumed that the OP was an adult.

    Hopefully she is.

If you're a teen, then it's a good thing that you're having a hard time conceiving.

I missed it too, hope the "enjoy your fiance" doesn't mean I gave sex advice to a minor, if the OP turns out to be a minor.

If they do, it was an honest mistake

    Why not get married FIRST?

Trying for a year on your own is long enough. Now you need to consult your OB to properly test you to determine what could be wrong. And this testing costs money. Do you have health insurance? Does your fiancée? Not that his insurance will help if you aren't married.
