    Backflow valve
Just installed new main water line from meter to house. Water pressure to the house is good however no water in the house. Noticed a backflow valve and old shut off valve under the house (crawl space). Could either prevent water flow to the house? Water has only been off for two days after main line broke.

Both the backflow preventer and the shut off valve are capable of stoping water from entering your house. If the main broke it's possible that dirt and soil got into your system and is clogging your lines and faucets. Good luck, Tom

I'm having trouble with high water pressure on my fire sprinkler system. No one can figure out why. Does the backflow have any thing to do with pressure? That is the only replaceable part besides the gauge. Could something be stuck in the water pipes leading into the house? I am at a loss and so is...

Steam Furnace Dripping from Backflow Preventer [ 1 Answers ]

Hey all - I have a pretty new furnace (about 3yo.) and just recently had to replace the thermocouple. While the heating guy was over, he let me know that I should be flushing the system weekly to drain off the sludge. He then drained the system of about 2 buckets of filthy water, and refilled...

I have a carrier 58gs100ga furnace with a white rodgers 36e93 gas valve. The main gas valve solenoid chatters or rattles for a split second before it stays engaged after the pilot is proved. I just replace the spark/lock out board and the fan board for a different problem. This chatter is...
