Using tapered collars on 1/4 in plastic tubing
I am putting together 1/4 in tubing with brass fittings using copper sleeves and tapered plastic collars. Which way does the tapered end of the collar point? Towards the end of the tubing or back towards the nut?

    Hi Tim...

If you are using plastic tubing the tapered end would point "toward the end of the tubing"... ;)

More questions? Let me know, OK?

    Mark

PS: DO NOT use any pipe dope or teflon tape on these fittings or threads.
