I was looking for a older movie maybe 80's all I remember is a young boy I think going to the library and there is like a jungle on the other side with big trees and I remember this big eagles like nest and he was climbing the tree to get the egg out of the nest. Help I can't remember

Its live action... its not neverending story.. its like he was reading a book or walking through an old house there is this big bird up this big tree
