    My taxes
    I worked for robinsons may as it turned into macys west.my problem is I've only gotten w-2 from macy

    s not robinsons may I'm concerned since there no longer in biasness

    Reggie, normally I wait and let a tax expert come to the rescue, but I had to answer this question because I know the answer and did not want you to worry needlessly on a what should be a nice restful Sunday.

    Large department stores, are more times than not, owned by larger corporations. This is the case with your situation. Depending on how their books and finances are set up, many times there are multiple layers, they are intertwined, and the parent company may distribute the W-2.

    You have nothing to worry about. You job is safe. File your tax return with that W-2.

    I would wait about two weeks to see another W-2 shows up. If it does not come by 28 Feb 07, you can file.

    Thank you ATE. I reread the post this morning. I am now unclear as to what the OP was asking. It may very well be worry about a missing W-2.
