Please help, instead of opening a web page I am prompted to download a html file?
    Hi,
I just bought a brand new laptop, and I have been using it with a mobile broadband connection. Today whilst browsing the internet my connection stopped working, I disconnected and when I tried to reconnect I encountered an RAS error code. Using the trouble shooting instructions, I deleted the mobile device, then plugged it back in and it re-added. After this, I successfully connected to the internet, but when I tried to open my homepage (google) as soon as the page had begun to load, the window closed itself and another opened asking me to download a html file from google.com.au I did so, and opened the file which was just a link to Google, and the whole cycle began to repeat. Please help?

It almost seems as though you don't have a file association set up for the .html file extension. I've never seen that before. What operating system are you using?
