My child's father is on the birth certificate but can my husband adopt
My child's bialogical father hasn't had much to do with my child over the last 7 years. He even gave me permission to change his name. My husband wants to adopt my son . Can he do so and how would we go about it.

Whether your husband can adopt depends on several factors determined by local law. But the likelihood is, if the bio father agrees, then it should be no problem. How you go about it is to retain a Family law attorney to prepare the adoption paperwork. The attorney will tell you all the requirements and steps you have to go through. |
