    Filing criminal charges against a employee who steals hourly wages?
    A employee stole hourly wages from my company by getting to work late and leaving early and reflexting a full eight hour day on her time sheet. Can criminal charges be filed against her

    You can call the cops and see if they'll do anything, but I doubt it. Yours is more of a civil matter.

    And how much did the employee actually steal? This would go under petty theft and its really unlikely a DA would prosecute. They would simply tell you to fire the employee and that would be sufficient punishment.
