    Would it be illegal for us to date?
    I'm 14 almost 15, he's 17 almost 18.. is it illegal for us to date?

    It is not illegal to date. It would, however be illegal for him to have any sexual contact with you.

    Also, it might be illegal if your parents forbid it.

    Finally, I really don't see what a 17 yr old would have in common with a 14 yr old.

    Agree, not illegal just iladvised. If you were 50 and she were 47 no big deal but also look at a few years ago. If you were 15 and she 12, is it starting to feel weird?

    If the 14 years old parents do not approve, there could be a legal issue, since a adult would be taking a child places without permission of the parents.
