    Possible Stocker...
I'm 20, a male. I met this nice guy while I was walking (I passed him while he was walking) he was 30. We talked for a while traded numbers. We talked about some stuff and he reviled he had been in jail where he came from (he moved recently).

He called me today talking he says he doesn't have many friends. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and he's on my walking route so I can't just ignore him. But I gave out my number and I feel like I put my family in danger.

I did a reverse look up on his number and it shows the same town I'm in. (cant find information on him but the area code and town are the same as here). Usually you keep your old area code when you move right? One of my friends did... and this guy said he might move soon if he doesn't like it up here. So he wouldn't change his cell area code right?

I hadn't eaten that morning and I was just really not thinking clearly. I feel like I've created a mess.

    Advice please?

    Hello strange:

Block his number and walk another route.

Has the guy called you repeatedly? Does he keep showing up when you're walking or has he followed you? That's more like stalking behavior. Maybe he truly doesn't have many friends and was just reaching out--trying to make a new life for himself since he just got out of jail. What you have described so far does not sound like stalking to me... are there any more details? But, if the guy creeps you out--then by all means do what excon said!

Why did you "trade numbers" with someone you just meet, you wanted or expected him to call ? Now he calls and there is a issue ?
