    Ex girlfriend
I broke up with my girlfriend 4 months ago and I still really miss her, I think about her all the time but we are in different countries right now. The reason I broke up with her was because I needed more space from the relationship and I was doing an internship abroad but things between us got sour because she never really understood the reason why I left. Now as more time has passed I find myself more alone and wanting her back. She started dating a "friend" of mine and that has made my situation worse, I feel that I should have never broken up with her and I can't stand the idea that she is with someone else. Any thoughts on what I should do?

Accept that you broke up with her and she's moved on.

She didn't put her life on hold for you-nor should you stay stuck in the past.

Accept that your responsible for your actions and move on.

Maybe stop looking backward, and being lonely, and build a life where you are now with friends that you enjoy.

I needed more space from the relationship and I was doing an internship abroad but things between us got sour because she never really understood the reason why I left.
She understood it, but maybe didn't like it, but she did understand you were leaving. Also you must be in touch or keeping up with what she is doing since you know she is messing with a friend. Get out of her life and business, then you won't keep old feelings so alive.

You need more time to move on so you can stop looking back to what was a comfort zone. Its gone, get another one.

You made the choice to break up with her though, you can't expect her to wait for you to change your mind and take her back. I mean I get you miss her, but it's probably over. I'd let her date your 'friend' or seriously talk with him about why he thinks that's okay .Good luck.
