First most apartments don't report items to your credit report, if yours do, that is great if you pay on time.

There is no limit to the number of apartments a person can rent ( but then why do you need three, are they in different cities ?)

Is this apartment for business purpose ? Are you going to rent it under your Business ?

But if the landlord will accept it, sure no reason you can't, if they will rent to you without any number, that is great.
They are not required to accept it your tax id number and will most likely require personal credit info if this is a personal rental.

Some business rental even requires or asks for personal info on the owners

    Hello N:

I'm not the Padre, but I have an opinion... If you're able to rent a residential apartment, it won't be zoned for business. So, if you go IN representing yourself as a business, you won't get very far...

However, these days, many people work from home, and it sounds like your business doesn't involve foot traffic. So, I'd rent it as your home... You WILL be living there, won't you?? You'll also get some tax benefits for having a business in your home.

What is the purpose of renting it as a business? Are you trying to avoid a background check??

    1. I have merged your two threads, please don't state a new thread on the same subject.

    2. Thank you, I can not remember the last time anyone has actually named me ( in a good way) in a question. You have made my day.

    Now to address it,

Yes, I have in many states, rented apartments under both company name and company tax id number, The apartments were to be used for company guests or temp housing for workers moving into the area.

If you are renting it to provide yourself a place to live, you may do that also, but will have to show the value of that rental, as income.

I have rented apartments in past years also, with the Church Tax ID, as the church was providing me a place to live.

The only issue will be if the place renting to you , will allow it. Remember it is their ball game and they can take their ball and go home if they don't like the terms.

    1. To correct my own terms it is not your Tax ID, but it would be your EIN number which businesses used as their "ID" number for credit, since it runs as a credit check would, I would assume this is the number you are talking about

    2. Does your LLC have a credit history, do you have business credit cards, company loans, and other things that show your company has a credit history.
Normally you will provide them with a statement showing your credit reference, ( most businesses have one printed they hand out for credit reference purpose)

    3. The landlord has their own rules, I have had businesses, where even the store buildings had to also have all of my personal ID also. If your corporation does not have enough credit history, It is common for them to require the owner, to basically "co sign" by signing that they will also personally be liable for the rent or loan. In those cases, do you not only provide the EIN number but also your personal info also
