Power plant construction
Hi,
I'm working in infinite energy groups. I have a question and could you please help me in solving it. I need a production of 3 crores units and need to construct thermal,solar and wind power plants for the production of 3 cr units each. please help me in solving it. I want to know how much is the plant capacity and cost.

I don't mean to sound snarky, but I'm pretty sure that design, construction, and cost and capacity estimation of a power plant requires dozens (if not hundreds) of people with advanced degrees and decades of experience. Are you expecting somebody to provide you an answer in a couple of paragraphs? And what the heck are "crores units"?

Hi.
Thanks for the reply. I'm not expecting a summary like answer. I want to know how much electricity does 1MW thermal, 1MW solar, 1MW of wind power plant will produce?? And the cost of 1MW.

Okay. I understand now.
First, 1MW of electricity is the same no matter how it was generated, so all three plants you listed would produce the same amount of power.
As for cost, there's a good Wikipedia page about the subject here.

Table 1 lists the cost per MWh (megawatthour), so that would be the cost of producing 1MW of electricity for 1 hour.

Oh yes. that's a good site. but electricity production for all the 3 power plants is not the same and it varies.

You said all three hypothetical plants were 1 MW. I took that to mean, by definition, that they're the same. (Like asking "If a bicycle and a car are both traveling 20 kph, which one is going faster?". Obviously, they're both going the same speed).
Now I think you meant that if each plant is rated to produce a maximum of 1 MW, what's the average output of each? Unfortunately, I don't know the answer for sure, but I think you can multiply by the "capacity factor" in table 1 to get the approximate answer. So a 1 MW-max wind turbine plant could be expected to produce an average of 340 kW over the course of a year, whereas a coal-fired plant could be expected to average around 850 kW.
