I need a callous elbow protector for a lab my friends went to the vet and they were over 80.00 can I get them cheaper elsewhere

How bad is the callousing?
What bedding does the dog sleep on?
Does the dog lay or sleep on hard surfaces often?
Do they use a moisturizer at all?

I would prefer to see other methods used before putting protectors on, they can be annoying to the dog.
