    Remove non bio father from birth certificate?
    I need to take my ex husbands name off my sons birth certificate as he isn't the father after having a dna test done.

    Where are you located? Laws vary greatly by region.

    Were you married at the time the child was conceived or born? A lot of states consider a husband to automatically be the child's legal father.

    And finally, how old is your son? There is a statute of limitations on how long a man has to contest paternity; you may have missed your chance to contest it.

    In england,west midlands in uk.we weren't married at the time he was born,we got married after he was born,my son is 4.
