I think this is an easy problem but sometimes it needs professional help.

Based in my experience the principal reason of a squeaky noise is the wheel where the belt runs in the adjuster, These wheel runs all the time and it has a heavy force pushing by the spring. In order to fix it, you need to remove the belt and the drum of the dyrer, is better if you replace the part but if you don't want to spend money, remove the wheel, and buy in Ace Hardwae high temperature lubricant and put this grease in the axle on the center of the wheel, also do the same with the rubber wheels in the back and in the front door where the drum or basket lean.

GE clothes dryer [ 1 Answers ]

I have a GE clothes dryer, about 5 years old. It makes a loud high pitched chirping noise that usually quits after it's on for awhile. Can you tell me what could be wrong with it and if it's something I should be able to fix myself.
