Ceiling fan , no middle speed
I have a hunter ceiling fan and the low and high speed work but the middle speed does not work at all. I checked the wiring and the connections are good and I took the switch apart and it also seems to be making a good connection. Could it be the thermister that the switch is wired into or the motor??

Just installed a hampton bay ceiling fan with remote control.. the remote control works on the lights to turn them on and off but will not turn on/off fan or contol speed. What's wrong.
This fan has worked fine without any problem for years? Remote switch play a part?
I pulled the chain out of the switch on my Sears ceiling fan. Any suggestions on where to find a switch replacement or adapt to something else? Sears no longer stocks the part, I have tried Ace Hardware, Home Depot and local ceiling fan store.
