    Ribs expand when pregnant?
I'm relatively small. 5"2' and 140 lbs. See when my sister in law had my adorable little neice in Feb., her ribs expanded and now she had trouble putting on her wedding dress needed for August. She's quite a bit taller and shaped different but it is hardly noticeable on her. I measured around the bottom of my ribcage and its like 25" and I'm wondering if after my pregnancy will my ribs/waist will return to that?(I'm all for exercise)

No doubt pregnancy affects our bodies and usually permanently :( there will always be that extra pound or two that you probably will never shift after pregnancy, but you can lose a lot of it with good exercise. I'm not sure about your ribs expanding, this is new to me but you can return to your normal body weight with lots of work, some people may be luckier than others and others may require much more work. Everyone's different. I'm hoping I will be one of the lucky ones :D

Some people are very lucky, usually the ones that don't show from the back view, we had a lady like that who comes into where I work, fab figure as a back view , enormous front view, just had her gorgeous little boy and when sraight back into her tiny jeans, you'd never have known that two days ago she'd given birth... amazing.

However another lady who was huge all around, also had her little girl, with no disrespect to her,she still looks heavily pregnant.

Maybe it's a boy or girl thing!!

Diet and exercise is a good thing after childbirth, especially pelvic floor exersizes, also if you breast feed, this helps your body to return to normal.
