Boyfriend does not have sex frequently?
We have been dating for 2 months steady and sex is very irregular. Some nights a week. I think that it is the very beginning of a relationship and normally, we should be a little more passionate. Well, I am but my boyfriend seems to be content having sex every once in a while. I am upset about it and feel frustrated. Is there anything I can do? He is 39 and I am 36. I do not think age matters because my last boyfriend was 39 and sometimes we had sex twice a day or at least once, for over a year. Please help

You have been dating for two months 'steady'. Were you seeing each other before it became 'steady'?

At two months, it is very difficult to determine what is a 'normal' frequency for sex in a relationship. Every individual is different and it is not a good idea to compare one with another. Have you talked to him?

Some people like to get to know their 'partner' before sex becomes a major part of the relationship.

Does he show affection in other ways such as holding hands, cuddling, remembering your favorite movie or song, etc. Do you believe that relaxing together can be just as intimate as sex?

He may have other things going on in his life that limit the amount of energy he can (or wants to) put into physical interaction. Jobs and/or schoolwork can be very stressful and tiring. Family can be too.

Does he have children from a previous relationship? Does he have a home he is keeping up?

Does he have any health issues or is on any medications?

What are you looking for in the relationship? Someone to have sex with over a short time or someone to build a relationship with that will last a long time? What is he looking for?
