About about 4 months ago my girlfriend broke up with me to go back to her ex. She had previously cheated on me with him, but I forgave her, she said she wanted to be with me not him. Anyway I can' seem to get over it, I realize I'm better off without her, but latley its all I can think about. I'm so sick of it. I've tried dating other people but haven't really clicked with anyone. I've also been going to counseling, but that doesn't seem to be helping. I don't know what to do! Please help?

Are you keeping busy rather than sitting around thinking about the past?

And if counseling isn't helping have you told your therapist?

I've been very busy actually, work is really busy, and its summer so I have plans most every weekend. As far as why counseling isn't working. I'm not sure I have only been going for about 3 weeks so maybe I'm expecting too much. It just seems ridiculous that I'm still effected this much by it all.

Whatever you do don't go back with her. Trust me I dated the same guy three times and he cheated on me. I was stupid to even give him another chance but I did. So don't go back with her even though it may be hard for you just need to let go. Just be single for awhile find some new hobbies and intrests during that time and when the right time comes around you will know and everything will get better. Just don't keep grieving over this.
